I will be in the Calgary area over the Mother’s Day weekend (May 08th – 10th) leading a retreat for the folks at Creation Care Calgary, and at the request of the amazing faith-based, organic farmer and academic, Jerremie Clyde. The topic of the retreat will be based on my book (An Altar in the Wilderness, RMB 2014), but I am now preparing a LOT of new material which I intend for my next book (about which I am increasingly excited about). I want to explore in this retreat areas not just covered in my first book, but also that which pertains to spiritual activism. It is the first such speaking engagement I have allowed myself in many years, as many of you well know (other than the two speeches I gave at the Burnaby Mountain rallies against the Kinder-Morgan pipeline), and I can’t wait to do it. They are special people. I am openly inviting anyone who reads this (friends or acquaintances, Orthodox or otherwise) to come. It would be such a pleasure and a joy to share this retreat with you. More deets to come. I am going to give my heart and soul to content and delivery at this retreat.
